A (supposedly) One Shot Dungeons and Dragons campaign using a milestone based rewards for 4 Adventurer on Level 3.

Starting The Adventure

The Party is gathered in a Tavern where they accepted a contract on a missing Harper, Gerald Petna. Gerald Petna was last seen somewhere in the outskirt of Neverwinter. The one who issued the contract was his mother, saying she became worried of her son when she saw her son’s teams but well, not her son. The mother gave everything the party needed for the journey. A horse carrion, and some 3-days worth of supply and so, the adventure begin.

Going to the area is a 1-day Journey and so the party decided to rest for a bit and agreed to continue the journey the next morning.

First Encounter

When the party was drinking and cooking and getting to know each other, they heard a loud sound coming from outside of the bushes. Those who decided to check it out must pass a DC 15 Perception check or else, Roll Initiatives.

The Party was ambushed by 3 Nothics. Nothics are known as a cursed arcanist. They were once a wizard who crave and devote their life to find a higher power, higher source of arcane. Their curiosity then led them to be cursed by the dark and powerful lich, Vecna. (Based on DnD, Monster Manual Book)

After the battle is done, if the party searched the Nothic, they will found an amulet with the initial GP written on it. Yet, they still hear the loud noises coming from behind the bushes. If they searched further, they will find Fenola, a halfling bard sleeping under the bushes.

Continuing The Journey

If the party decided to question Fenola, they will find out that she was kidnapped in the middle of the night while she was travelling with her bandmates. She said that they have a performance in a tavern at the outskirt of Neverwinter. Fenola will then asked the party for help, saying that she knows the area well and wanted to return to her camp for a little bit to check on her bandmates. She will also ask the party (since they have the same way of destination) to drop her in a tavern near the outskirt of Neverwinter, saying she does not want to be late for her performance which will be happening tomorrow at 7 PM.

About Fenola

Fenola is a 35 years old halfling bard. She has a ginger hair and a positive upbringing. She loves to sing and dance and do whatever the goods of the world can offer which ultimately can result in her getting a little sloppy. She doesn’t let others see the vulnerable side of her, which she hides behind her songs.

Fenola’s Camp

When the party arrives, Fenola’s camp was a mess. The tents ripped to shred. Their horses dead, the guts spilling everywhere on the ground. Pieces of food supplies, their belongings, clothes, are everywhere in the ground.

If the party pass the arcana check when checking for traces of magic after the first encounter and in

Fenola’s camp, they will find out that both of these events have the same source of magic.
